I decided to write a weekly e-mail recommending natural beauty items that I currently use or have used. I had been suggesting the same products to many friends on a regular basis. In middle school, I became aware of cancer-causing ingredients in beauty products (can we say Sodium Laurel Sulfate?). I tucked that piece of information away for quite some time and continued using synthetic products. Recently, I discovered cosmeticdatabase.com in an issue of O The Oprah Magazine. The Web site scores products from 0-10, rating them as a low hazard, moderate hazard, or high hazard. After searching most of my personal care items, I realized I had to make a change. Now, I am passionate about natural and organic beauty and enjoy examining new products. I would like to help friends naturalize their beauty regime, ultimately discovering that natural beauty is easier and better than synthetic!
